Prior to this month, we have released Sky Overlays, Spooky Makeup Tutorials and Fall Aesthetics in order to give you some new ideas and skills to try your hand at.
This month, as the days get continue to get shorter and the nights continue to grow colder, we wanted inspire you to stretch your creative muscles by incorporating the warmth of fire into your photographs. This is a skillset that is useful all year round whether you are documenting the birthday of someone you love, are cozying up by the fireplace on a winters night or making s’mores around a campfire, there is an art to capturing moments by firelight.
So for this lesson, I am going to give you tips and tricks to photograph moments captured by the glow of fire in a variety of settings. It is my hope that the next time you see a moment flickering in the wind you feel confident when grabbing your camera on a whim to capture the magic.
