Description
- The dolly zoom, also known as the “Vertigo effect,” is a cinematic technique where the camera moves closer or farther from a subject while adjusting the focal length to keep the subject’s size constant. This creates a dramatic perspective shift, commonly used in film to convey disorientation or tension.
With Dollyoom, you can perform dolly zooms directly in Blender’s 3D Viewport using simple mouse gestures:
- Press Alt + M and move the mouse left or right to adjust the scene camera’s perspective.
- Hold Shift for fine adjustments.
- Press C to toggle the focus between the active object and the 3D cursor.
- Use number keys to numerically set the focal length.
The default focus target is the active object, but you can switch it to the 3D cursor for more precise control.
