Have you ever wondered how they’ve been made and how can you as a beginner create something similar with a graphic tablet and a non-vector based drawing software like Procreate?
If your answer is yes and would like to taste these kinds of illustrations a bit, then this class is for you! In most cases these illustrations are designed in so called vector based programs like Adobe Illustrator, Affinity designer or a similar application. However these are brilliant tools and I also use them myself, as a beginner they tend to be a bit complicated for the first time and you might lose in all the possibilities they offer. I feel you, I was also a bit overwhelmed by how to even start illustrations with geometrical shapes.
In this class together we’re going to create a dynamic character illustration of a human doing a kind of sport of your choosing, from circles. You’ll learn how to use a photograph as a reference picture and how to translate a body shape with circles in Procreate using an easy technique I discovered for my own fun which I then named the “Bubblegram” technique.
