Macro specialist Leon Baas is taking us to Texel. For the non-Dutch among us, Texel is the largest Dutch Wadden Island. Until 1170 it was still connected to the mainland, but after the “All Saints’ Flood”, it became an island. Leon wants to photograph so-called dune mushrooms. When taking macro shots on the beach, he has to deal with the drifting sand and windy conditions. In this video, he shows how he deals with these weather elements and how he mastered the conditions to take that cool macro photo.
