Currently, most tools for creating Metahuman bindings on the market are for Maya. Metablriger is a Blender plugin that helps users quickly create Metahuman bindings and serves as a substitute for existing Metahuman binding tools. Metablriger is easy to install and doesn’t rely on other plugins. It supports directly generating DNA files from the mesh of the Metahuman facial topology and loading DNA files in Blender to create facial rig driven by controllers. It also allows users to modify facial corrective shapekeys for better control over facial shapes. It can alse rig cloth and rig any topology model to metahuman!
Additionally, it supports body rig . Users can export both facial and body rig as FBX files through the plugin. These FBX files can be imported into the UE5 engine to perfectly run both facial and body bindings.
Note: the plugin(lower V2.6) uses the MH4 version of DNA by default. If you are using an older DNA version, there might be skeleton mismatches. It’s recommended to download the demo files and try out the process beforehand. Additionally, the Blender plugin does not support RBF shaping or LOD export.V2.6 and V2.7 version suport UE5.6 type DNA
