This class brings you a Paint Like Van Gogh course so you can not only improve your skills, but experience what it feels like to paint like the legend Van Gogh. In this series you will be recreating one of his most iconic works of all time. Starry Night.
This class is designed with beginners in mind so any level of ability can successfuly complete the painting.
What You’ll Learn
In this class you’ll learn how to create your own masterpiece. The artist, China, will show you how to use your brushes to get that dashing effect like Van Gogh, how to mix your colours so they don’t look ‘dirty’ and how to complete your version of Starry Night.
The process is broken down into bitesized chunks so that anyone can achieve this painting. It’s a little like paint by numbers, only you will be drawing the outlines too!
By the end of this workshops you will learn how to:
* Draw the outline to make the next stages easier * Use your brushes effectively to get the correct technique * Mix your paints so they don’t become ‘dirty’ or dull looking * Add layers to build up the texture * Clean your brush effectively
What You Will Need
A Van Gogh Painting Kit including:
* Canvas (The demo is 25cm x 30cm)* 2 x brushes (1/4 inch & 3/4 inch)* Pencil* Acrylic paints – black, white, yellow, light blue & navy blue.* Kitchen roll or old rag* Mixing palette, a kitchen plate would also work* Glass with water* Starry Night image – Either printed or open in a window
