About Me:
My name is Solati, a digital clothing designer and instructor for Marvelous Designer. I’m working as a freelance clothing artist and 3D tutor. Over the past few years of working with Marvelous, I always wanted to create a course that’s not only complete and practical, but also fully project-based.

- Using Substance Painter for Texturing
- Taking renders for presentation in Marmoset
Course Project Overview:
In this course, we start from scratch: learning the tools, creating two basic patterns like a T-shirt and pants.
We won’t go too deep into the tools this time , because we already covered that in the previous course.
Instead, we focus on three real projects.
The first one is a casual spring outfit. In this project, you’ll learn how to design and render a garment in a specific pose.
In the second project, we’ll design a formal women’s suit. We’ll face some challenges, try to simulate a simple walk cycle, and do a clean final render.
And in the last project, we’ll design a more creative outfit and import it into ZBrush. There, we’ll do some basic modifications — just enough to get familiar with the ZBrush workflow and prepare for more advanced work in the future.
We’ll also use Substance Painter for texturing, and Marmoset for rendering.
So, not only will you learn how to design clothing , but you’ll also end up with professional results that are ready to present or share.
