This course takes you from absolute beginner to advanced creator, guiding you through the complete workflow of modeling, texturing and exporting assets for Unity, Unreal Engine and 3D printers. We start with the foundations: what 3D is, where it is used, and why Blender has become the industry’s favourite free 3D tool. You’ll learn the theory behind polycount, quads vs tris, topology, low-poly vs high-poly, and when optimization matters for mobile, VR headsets and modern game engines.
From there we move into hands-on Blender practice. You’ll learn to:
- Navigate the Blender interface efficiently with essential shortcut keys
- Model clean hard-surface objects and organic / soft-surface forms
- Use modifiers and non-destructive workflows for fast iteration
- Create and unwrap UVs, build materials and apply textures in Blender
- Prepare game-ready assets and organize them for real-time performance
Next, we take your models into Unity and Unreal Engine. You’ll see how to:
- Export correctly from Blender (scale, orientation, formats)
- Import assets into Unity and Unreal
- Set up basic scenes, materials and lighting so your models look great in-engine
You’ll also learn how to make 3D print–ready models by checking scale, thickness and manifold geometry, and exporting in the right formats for slicing software and printers. Finally, we discuss best practices for VR / AR / WebXR projects, so your assets are optimized for headsets and interactive experiences.
By the end of this course, you’ll have a solid, practical portfolio of 3D game assets and 3D printable models, plus a clear workflow you can reuse for your own games, prototypes or freelance work—using only Blender and your favourite game engine.
