Visual Poetry: Create a Personal Self Portrait and Poem in a Fun, Meaningful Way

Self portrait photography can potentially change your life! In this class, you will create a personal self portrait and write your own poem. Jessica will show you how to connect deeply with yourself through a guided mindfulness meditation, how you can craft a unique theme and and how to plan your photo shoot.

Jessica is a CBT psychotherapist and a visual poet, with 20 years experience from portrait photography and editorial writing. In this class, you will;

• connect deeply with yourself in a guided mindfulness practice
• learn how to craft a personal theme and how to plan your image
• take and edit the picture
• finally there will be an easy guide to writing your own poem.

By combining psychological methods and creative processes, you may come to see different perspectives of yourself. We can only change what we notice, making this such a powerful and meaningful way of expressing yourself through your art. The process is a lot of fun and in the end you will have created meaningful, personal art.
